The North Downs Line runs from Reading to Redhill along the North Downs, a ridge of hills through Southern England. This simulation covers the eastern section, from Guildford to Redhill.

This line has limited signalling along most its length, meaning trains can catch up with each other quickly. Additionally, there are two level crossings, and it must be ensured that these aren’t closed for too long.

A timetable for 31 August 2022 has been included, running from 05:10 until the last train of the evening, at approximately 1am. The standard off peak services are:

– 2tph London Victoria to Reigate (SN)
– 1tph Reading to Gatwick Airport (GW)
– 1tph Reading to Redhill (GW)

Additional peak services from Reading also terminate at Shalford.

Some operational tips have been provided in the included documentation.
